I thought this sounded interesting, so I checked out the site and loved it. I think it is so cool how Perez took a basic concept of marketing and made it his own. Working as an independent marketer selling his skills to those of hte business world. His site was simple yet caught my eye and wasn't designed like anything I have ever seen.

I like his website and his slogans are definately catchy, I just don't get the point of having one standard commercial that he just plugs the product into. Is there any reasoning behind that?

Although I did think that Perez's slogans were creative and different, I was a little bit thrown off by the fact that all of the advertisements were the same. To me, it doesn't seem likely that the same advertising platform would work for such a wide range of products. Would a brand ever buy this type of advertisement?

I think Alex Perez is a great example of opportunities that exists for us young adults ready to go into the "real world" about to embark on our careers. He is utilizing his personal skills to make money for himself-- with his unique character and clever ideas alone....could this make way for more corporate prostitution in the future?

Also, in reference to Laura's post I took his advertisements to be generic for the purpose of his website's "pitch" -- then depending on his clients he would obviously specifically modify details of the advertisements tailored per request basis. Thoughts?

Ugh...personal skills??? Seriously, how do you guys find this the least bit interesting? Alex Perez is the lamest excuse for a marketer. Is this a joke? Think of something original already! He's using the same platform for every commercial he makes. Not to mention he uses the age-old cheesy endorsement with the tacky grin and product show off.
I'm pretty sure a monkey could write a better commercial than him.

He loves the Hostess product so much, he reused his Duracell commercial?! He claims he can help the a company's business model by helping to "improve [the] company's internet identity". How so? By reusing the same commercials over and over again? That will surely separate the company from the other six companies with the same commercials Perez duped them into buying. I'm pretty sure that his river of ideas has definitely run dry.

If Alex Perez walked in my company building for a job and showed me his website, I would slam my door in his face seven different times exactly the same way, only using a different way each time of telling him how he can get the **** out of my office.

In reference to Jonathan's post--
My take on Alex Perez's business strategy was not that he had the same Ad campaign for every brand-but he was aiming to promote his young, hip and edgy appeal by creating a demo-commercial for a myraid of products.

If in fact his inten is for that ONE commercial is to serve the purpose of EVERY brand-then of course thats a horrible idea! The whole idea of competition is diversifing your company from competitors and maintaining a sustainable competitive advantage...

If this indeed was the aim of Alex Perez (to create the same commercial for every prodcut) then he sure need to do some reevaluating of his game/life plan.
