Metropolitan's Costume Institute adds Blog Exhibit
While performing research for my fashion class I came across this and found it really interesting. The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in NYC has added a new component to it's usual display of garments and accessories. It is a blog called "blog.mode:addressing fashion" (mode meaning fashion in french)anyone visiting the exhibit can contribute to the blog via computer terminals placed through out the galleries. The curators of the exhibit love to see the comments and check the postings several times a week, they have seen contributors as young as 7yrs old to street level judgement to those with experience in the fashion industry. I think that it is a great way to add an interactive element to the normal museum exhibit. The article also talks about this season's "in" fashion blogs. You can check out the full article here.
